Spring has finally sprung here in the metro Detroit area…and so has the season of love! Spring brings promise of anew, of something fresh and certainty of growth.

Veronica set up a session for herself and Paul, to capture images of themselves around iconic Detroit institutions. Their plan is to bring a piece of home with them as they begin their new lives in NY… the move was to take place the following day! Due to everyone’s hectic schedules, we narrowly avoided yet another rescheduling, which would have postponed this magical day. 🙂 Paul emailed me a couple of weeks before to let me know of his plans…I literally squealed as I read the email. I was beside myself with excitement. lol
It seemed befitting for Paul and Veronica to choose the Detroit Institute of Arts. With a black diamond ring tucked in his pocket, Paul held Veronica’s hand as they walked up the staircase and he pledged his undying love. When Paul got down on one knee for his marriage proposal, she immediately said YES.
It’s always an honor to document love, but there’s something incredible about that moment when two lives become forever changed. Being allowed the honor to document this proposal was incredibly moving and this couple deserves nothing but a lifetime of happiness…
Unbeknownst to Veronica, a proposal was in the works. Veronica, of course, said YES!
Immediately following Paul’s marriage proposal, we ventured down the stairs for a few photos together…the first photos of them being able to call each other their fiancĂ©.
Paul, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your proposal…it was an honor. Really.
